Riding Hats

The most important and essential piece of equestrian clothing you'll ever own is a riding hat. To be worn whilst riding we also advise to wear a riding hat whilst lunging, or handling any horse from the ground. Riding hats should be replaced immediately if they suffer a severe impact as a result of a fall from a horse, being dropped onto a hard surface or kicked by a horse. Even if you cannot see any visible damage, severe impact to your riding hat can result in diminished protection. Over time, as the padding inside becomes compressed your hat will offer reduced protection. So we advise that it be replaced every 3-4 years even if there are no visible signs of damage, wear and tear, etc.
